Part Bought - Part Self Assembled

Post by arturobandini » Wed Feb 06, 2013 6:27 pm

I'm getting a buddy into all grain brewing and I reckon we are going to go down the easy route and buy a standard coolbox mashtun already fabricated (Brupaks) and build our own boiler/hlt.

I've made up a boiler myself before so that will be a pair of cheap kettles, boiler tap and a hop strainer but wondering where people get their buckets from? I am going to go down the 50litre bucket version for this so does anyone know the best place to pick these up?

Also open to other ideas as it has been awhile since I built any kit/looked where to buy it. These days I just look for grains and hops as I am happy with the plastic brewery that has served me well for many many brews.

Cheers

60 litre buckets here for £23 and they will drill the holes for you.

Hope this helps.
