All my beer goes through about 5m of copper pipe in the wort chiller, and I've never noticed a problem. Glass and plastic are fine as well, and quite cheap.

I'm not really sure what size 22 gauge is, actually! My wort chiller uses 8mm copper water pipe (used in microbore central heating systems).

I would be more worried about the possibility that the copper might have some other metal in it to make it stronger which might make it unsuitable for brewing use. I don't know about that, though.

I'm sure my tubing was only about a tenner for 5m. Unless you have a use for all 100ft of that stuff, it's going to cost you at least £19.

I would imagine that ebay stuff is too small, I was looking for lengths of copper
pipe on there and found loads of that small bore stuff - meant for automotive
brake lines. The Ebay auction gives some other info:-

"Outside Diameter 3/16 ins - 4.76mm"

So the bore size will be less than that - too small I would have thought....
