:) I know, I know.

I emailed Crusader this morning for another spear, the square tab type, and they said they would replace the 'tapered' one under guarantee. Happy days

They seem to like me! Lol

I had an reply from their Design Technical team. I didn't even ask for a replacement. I said I would buy another and keep the dodgy one as a spare but they said they would swap it. I'll let you know what happens

Just came online to say the same. Replacement spear delivered today. Good job we found out about the iffy spear early on. Now on with the brewing! :D

Ps. My 1st keg from Crusader is absolutely faultless. No gas leaks, no dramas. It gets drunk quicker too  Glad I went for these anyway. Look forward to seeing some pics of your setup Clive

My setup is progressing nicely even got the control panel on the wall yesterday (un aided) together with the new stainless wall cupboard.

Just a few bits to finished and the actual keg stacking to sort then its brewday (if the weather isn't that hot)

Just a quick update. I had an iffy seal on that replacement spear, it was slowly leaking CO2 when the coupler was not connected. I swapped over the seal from the 'tapered' spear and it was then ok. The iffy seal was caused by a small 'nick' in the rubber. I emailed Crusader just to let them know and they sent me a few spares Free Of Charge. Looks like I'm gonna be ok for a while! Really can't fault their after sales, really professional company to deal with.

Your Corny equivalent poppets and seals, only these things last years!

I have to agree that Crusader are an ok company. They sent me an email and said that the rubber should be changed every time you remove the spear. In the post they sent me a bunch of spare rubbers. That's service. As for your removal tool. Ace.

I would have to disagree with the replacement of the sealing rubber everytime, as long as there isnt any damage just clean and reuse.

I dont know how much the washer are, but I did buy some replacements for the US red corny seal seller that fit rather well :)
