Fermenter Temperature

Post by JhnMcK » Fri Aug 08, 2014 10:20 am

What would you say is the best way of determining what temperature the wort in your FV is at? Are those temperature strips reliable? Found ones on eBay which are apparently for fish tanks but I guess would work on a FV or is better to just spend more and invest in a digital temperature probe

The stick on strips will work, or what about buying an STC1000 and sticking the probe to the side of the pot + bubble wrap cover. If you ever upgrade to a ferment fridge at a later date the STC will come in handy.

I've thought about making a fermentation fridge and using an STC1000. I didn't realise that it also tells you what temperature it's currently at
