No, unfortunately I didn't have a waterproof sensor at that point. I suspect it probably followed fairly closely- if there was a significant difference I would have expected the large thermal mass of the beer to prevent the air cooling that much. But that's me guessing

I was gonna use a hairdryer as that seemed a good idea.

It's a nice fan but do be aware that it's a brushless motor so you'll need a brushless speed controlled. The good news is they're cheap. You'll also need a servo tester to control the fan speed. All of those can be obtained through hobbyking. One thing to be aware of is that axial fans like that (and hairdryers infact) lose litres per minute quite quickly in the face of back-pressure. Centrifugal fans are much better in that regard.
Something like Ebay 161590291339 is going to be a lot simpler (no need for ESC or servo testers) and will run happily on the 12v from your PSU supply. And it will deal with back-pressure nicely. Although the muppet has put cash on collection despite saying he accepts Paypal and it's economy tracked delivery. Suspect if you win and pay via Paypal he won't send it in the post. Although Ebay would cremate his testicles if he didn't. But there are other blowers out there....
