Kettle element screws.

Post by paz1 » Mon Mar 02, 2015 6:40 pm

Hi,
Is anyone able to tell me what size the 3 screws that screw into the back of the cheap kettle elements is? I periodically like to remove the elements and wash the boiler throughly, but whiles removing and installing the elements I always seem to damage the head of the screws and it would be great if I can replace them.

Many thanks in advance.

I know what you mean! I hunted about and found these M3 screws work for me

I got the 8mm but i think the 12mm would be ok too

Thanks lord groan, I'll give a pack of them a go. Never thought I would find the screws in tool station.
Many thanks.
