And before I forget I did use a spanner, to give it another 1/4-1/2 turn once I checked it with soapy water. Which sorted the 1 bubble every second leak.

I would remove the outlet stem altogether if I were you. If it's a UK regulator I suspect it will be a 1/4" bsp entry to the manifold.
A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it's better to be thoroughly sure.

Only just saw this, I got the same reg setup.

The outlet stem will be hard to remove as there will be thread locker on it. I used the same JG fitting, cut approx 3mm off and sanded it slightly to tidy it up. Perfect seal! Just cut it and use the original washer. Another member on here got the same setup too. Mine has been fine for over 2 years.

As you haven't got a work bench just try and lean it on something so you can cut it, remember you're only removing a small amount of material so you can screw it on further.

I have the same Parweld reg. Mine came with a separate fibre washer that I stuffed in - about 2mm thick. No leaks. Reg & JG came from the Malt Miller, I don't know if ParWeld or Rob added the fibre washer. Tightened JG fitting is still a few mm from the brass nut on the reg.
I brew therefore I ... I .... forget
