Pressure loss
Pressure loss
One of my cornies isn't holding pressure. I noticed it on a previous fill and this time I greased the O ring and oiled the posts. That's the limit of my technical ability! It hasn't fixed it. Any ideas what I do next to make it pressure tight? Cheers
Re: Pressure loss
have you checked the Pressure Relief Valve? when venting kegs i've noticed mine can leak a litle if the ring you lift with isn't back in the right place.

Re: Pressure loss
Are the o-rings good? On one of mine the o-rings on the gas in post had cracked. I got some replacement silicone ones - see this post:

Re: Pressure loss
They way to check is,,,, pressure the keg, if it has beer in it, just put a little star San on top of the gas post, you will see bubbles if list leaking if it's the liquid post you get beer/liquid out, and if you spray tip a little star San around the lid seal you will see bubbles.
Now if it's a empty keg then pressure it up and dunk it in the bath.
But either way, just having a little pressure in keg can show up a leak, but having loads of pressure can seal the leak.
You sure the beer is not still absorbing co2. It's just a thought
If the lid seal is not what it used to be you could boil (15/20mins) it to soften up a bit to get you out of troble, till you get a new one.
