king keg

hi
i have a king keg in the shed with some real ale in it, i have had a few pints out of it but now the co2 has run out so i put a cylinder on it and recharged it but after a few seconds the co2 is being released out of the pressure release valve. i can then pour a good pint but the second is not so good and the 3rd requires more co2.... is this normal or do i need a new lid or replacement seals?? its a top tap ...

I have 4 top tap King Kegs myself, I make a point of changing my valve seals every 6 months, they only cost a few coppers.

Another tip is to give the large O ring a covering of vaseline or petroleum jelly before seating it into the cap, then give the screw threads on the cap a covering too.

This gives a better seal & makes the cap easier to remove when you have finished your brew.
