No i'm not greek the translation says"no iam just a grecophile".well done Jim top of the class.
i've been going to Greece since 1979 off and on and love the greek people and their way of life.In 2004 got married in Rhodes and while we were there Greece won the european football championship what a night that was, :D :out :bonk :stun
and before you ask yes iv'e been to plenty of other places including the Maldives but to me Greece is the best,hence the avatar. B)

I love Greece as well, and the food's one of the best things about it! Don't bother going to a so-called 'Greek' restaurant in England, though - it's not the same. You even have to choose very carefully in Greece, or you'll get 'tourist' food. :out

The only real problem is there's no proper beer there! :(

Your right there Jim about greek restaurants over here waste of money ,in greece i normally stay away from the tourist places,i've found the best food in greece is to be found down the little streets off the beaten track,where most of the owners are doing the cooking and like you to go into the kitchen to have a look.

I agree, the food in the Greek restaurants in the UK is nothing in comparison to what you get in some of the smaller authentic Greek places.
