The false bottom is unfortunate. Whilst BrewUK have published much extended dispatch/delivery estimates, what I've heard on forums lately suggests these can still be wildly optimistic, to put it politely. Similar story with getting refunds and resolutions; it possibly doesn't help much, but FWIW but you certainly aren't alone at the moment.

Yes it really frustrating when delivery’s get messed up, but it’s even worse when you chase them up and get told a lot of rubbish and get empty promises of next day deliveries etc etc, You know that they are just trying to get you off the phone.

Will take a pic of the inside once I’ve tidied it up and I have the sockets fitted for the 2 elements and the 2 pumps. At the moment they’re all just lying in a mess.

I used Wago 222 block connectors to connect it all together, made it such an easy job. Wish I had found these before.

Looks like a Phormium (Tricolour?) . We have a couple in our garden. They tend to go a bit mad so make sure you have the space.

You can just see one of them behind this Rose, if it is the same.

Orlando is on the money The plant in the photo is a phormium tricolor. We have a couple in the garden aswell. One has grown a lot bigger than the other.
I might use the shed for brewing when it’s cooler outside. While the weather is nice, I might just fire a gazebo up in the garden on brew days

As I’ve mention already, Brewuk have told me twice that my item is in the post, yet nothing has arrived. I’ve emailed several times but, no reply.

I noticed on there site that the have a chat forum, so though yeh, Maybe I’ll be able to communicate with someone from their organisation on the forum. I put my details in a clicked register, only to get a message saying that my IP has been banned!! What’s going on?

DAV33 the only way is to try and phone them, it may take a few calls to get someone to answer the phone.

I tested the kettle out last night with some liquid extract. It brought 25L to a nice rolling boil with ease! The cheap REX-C100 PID controllers work really well and hold a nice steady temp.

I ended up having to keep the control panel open with a fan blown into it as, the SSR got very hot.
I’ll need to order heat sinks for them and fit a small panel fan to keep things from over heating next time.
