Gissa lift?
Gissa lift?
I would like to be able to change the working height of my boiler during the brew.
I currently have it on an aluminium jump step.
Platform size needs to be 40cm wide and lift 50kg from floor to just about worktop height.
Everthing found so far is either lab size and to small or factory size.
So... ideas anyone?

Re: Gissa lift?
I am pursuing an "all in one brewing".
I need the BM20 mid height for filling and programming, then low to lift out the malt tube and finally higher would be good for bottling.
Any thoughts or ideas?

Re: Gissa lift?
That's a moped lift!
No idea how the youtube button works on this forum so..

It can probably be built without using all the machinery he's got in his parents' basement

Re: Gissa lift?
How about a pair of three tread steps. That way you can adjust your height and not the BM ?

Re: Gissa lift?
I like your thinking, but isn't that an uphill syphon?

Re: Gissa lift?
That's a smashing thing. Tbh I wouldn't mind seeing the plans for that, get feeling some measurements could be key. Very good indeed.WallyBrew wrote: ↑Sat Oct 30, 2021 4:28 pmThat's a moped lift!

Re: Gissa lift?
Not if the BM is at a suitable height to start with. I always use a pair of steps.

Re: Gissa lift?
That's sort of where I am at the moment.
It's on a decorators jump step, which I step onto to remove the malt tube.
Was sort of thinking this might work.
Working height to fill.
Working height to run mash.
Up to hook on the malt tube.
Down again to remove malt tube.
Working height to boil and ferment.
Up for syphoning finished beer into bottles.
Working height to wash out.
Too mad?
