I've been looking at building my new system using brass garden hose connectors. Does anyone have any experience of using them? Any tips? Do they leak at all? That sort of thing.
I'm guessing that the plastic ones won't be any good....

Steve, I use brass hose connectors a lot in my system, including transferring near boiling wort through a CFC. I find them incredible useful and have never had an issue with them. Are they food safe? I'd only be concerned with the o-rings. Have used them for about 5 years and I haven't gone loopy yet :stun
