Re: Mini Digital Temperature Controller
I consider myself to be average when it comes to reading instructions, I always have and always will try to do things without Reading the Manual and generally within 5-10mins I know why I never read the manual.
The way I thought it would work was...
Press a button to cycle to either Heating or Cooling, Press the Up & Down buttons to set the Temps.
Though it doesn't work like that!

Re: Mini Digital Temperature Controller
OK I've had a look at mine and tried to write a easy to understand guide. Hope you can follow it and find its correct
To set the desired temp on a STC-1000
Press and hold S for 3 seconds.
F1 will appear. This is function one which is the temperature set value.
Press S again and hold down.
While you have S pressed down, use the up or down arrows to set the temp you want.
Press the button with the on/off symbol when you've done.
The unit will now automatically switch on or off the heating or cooling circuits when it moves out of the set temp range.
To change the other values (F2 is Diff, F3 is compressor delay, F4 is temp calibration) Select which F number you want by pressing S for 3 seconds.
Then use the arrows to cycle through F1-4 as required. Once you have the F number you want press S and hold down while using the up or down arrows to select the set point you want. Once you have the set point you want let go of S and press the on/off symbol key.
Hope that helps
Cheers

Thanks Russ got it up running and calibrated today even added external connection for heat sensors I have two one for the boiler other for chiller.
Re: Mini Digital Temperature Controller
OK mate glad it helped. Your not using it to control a boiler are you? I'm sure if you are your exceeding the rating of the unit

Re: Mini Digital Temperature Controller
No not for controlling the heat just the temp reading and for cold break would not like fireworks if I did.

Re: Mini Digital Temperature Controller
I've just ordered one of these bad boys to control what will become my fermenting fridge. Will normal 1.5mm 3 core flex be ok to use for wiring this up?

Re: Mini Digital Temperature Controller
I ordered one of these too and it has arrived!
Just need to find a fridge now. Absolutely nothing on freecycle for the past month or so.
