I found the threads to be unfortunately fragile.

Mine has sealed OK now onto 1/2 BSP fittings but the first dry fit snapped a few turns of thread off.

So far my take on these (from testing only not brewing) is...

PROS: Housing is attractive and very solidly build. In fact in general (before you switch them on) they 'feel' like a very nice piece of high end kit. Also quiet when running. Happy with boiling liquids.
CONS: The thread on fittings is slightly troublesome because its BSPT, a little lub would help I think. The flow is fine when unrestricted (seems slightly more than a solar pump) and inline with what I would expect for such a low wattage pump. Does lack any kind of oomph when restricted.

I tested my pump properly for the first time the other night and was very impressed. I didn't restrict the flow but with transferring its much more powerful that my solar pump which I snapped off its housing with a small knock. The threads are clearly not bsp, but I'm going to recut them
