have you got a link to how you made it Vossy or at least it fitted into your boiler and tun
Sorry r missed this 1st time round
I bought the 304 perforated ss plate from the link earlier in the thread.
It was a 400mm x 400mm piece (like in the link)
This is what I did with it

I wanted to create as little work as possible as I've never worked metal before...of any type. I decided to fold the edges down 25mm at first, which I did.
I did this by buying a iron bar from B&Q, chopping 2 pieces to the inner length of the box I wanted to make, and then clamped one piece either side of the plate, 25mm from the outer edge of the plate. I then beat the metal down to a 90 deg angle, very slowly, from the edge of the plate inwards.
However, I found that the fb was still too big for the copper so I had to get rid of the corners  ..so much for simple ideas
I marked a spot 1" from each corner and drew a line between them. I then cut this piece of plate out, from the horizontal. I then bent the vertical edges inward to create the fb you see below.

I did have to trim the vertical pieces with tin snippers, as they were too long, but the seals on the fb are formed from bent metal....no welding in sight...very tidy...if I dont say so myself

To make the take off I drilled a 20mm hole dead centre in the plate and then passed a 10 - 15 mm compression fitting (15mm end) through the plate to the upper surface. I secured this using a 1/2" flange nut.
I had previously drilled through the fitting with a 10m drill bit to ensure that 10mm copper pipe would pass thought the fitting unimpeded.
It was then just a case of working out where the copper pipe should sit before tightening up the nut on the 10mm end of the compression fitting

What I will say, is that it is better than the MoreBeer fb I used before, as the holes are smaller, and they don't allow hop seeds through 8)
