Advice on mashtun/manifold

anyway Daab whats wrong with a bit muck on yer mash tun? I've heard it adds to the flavour....and improves efficiency too...

ok, done my manifold but does anyone think it's a bit close to the sides?, will this affect my mash? I have also tested it and I'm left with nigh-on exactly one pint, does this matter, and is tipping up of the mash tun allowed, or highly illegal, to get the last bit of sweet wort out?
