I've been messing around with the boiler and imersion chiller this afternoon, great fun
At the moment I'm trying to find the point on the dial where it keeps a constant 80 C. This is the temp I tend to add water to the mash tun, let it drop to 72 then add grains. If I put it on the timer plug I can have perfect temp mash liqour when I get up and can get straight to mashing. I'm also thinking I'll use it as a hlt for preparing sparge liquor rather than for the boil as bringing it to the boil was rather a long process today and the volume I can get in it is smaller than my current boiler.
Tried the imersion chiller on about 5 gallon of boiling water and it took about half an hour to bring it to 25 C, which I thought was rather cool

- certainly beats the sink method. Got one of those hose connectors recommended by Jim - works a treat on the bathroom tap - cheers jim. Only a fiver from B&Q.
Wanted to try my stuff tomorrow with a brew, but have to do some work

Oh well, next weekend
Enough beer induced waffling
