I considered a stainless table from ebay (180 pounds or something around that firgre) but to be honest I was concerned about having to modify it and also having a solid platform with the boiler on top.

I figured if I was going to buy something and modify it it would be better for me to build what I wanted in the first place. It was also fairly cheap as the steel cost me 50 quid.

Of course, I do have a mig welder so that has to be taken into account.

Welding is something I would like to learn.
Though I have known enough people in the past that I have been able to get what I need fabricated. Also when I'm at home there are some great metal workshops that can knock stuff up, for a little more than what it would cost me to buy the materials.

I learned more about welding while making this stand up than ever before. Some of the welds are pretty good 8) Shame they're all underneath or out of sight :bonk

if you go to http://www.bigdug.co.uk/ same company just don't pay ebay prices the bench works out at £69 that's including shipping. :wink:
