The bar was an old pulpit which came from a church in Edinburgh still trying to find out exactly which one either st Margarets or The Guthrie memorial in Easter Road it dates from 1818 or 1881.
I had a friend down from the Isle of Lewis last month on a working holiday to give me a hand.

Modified to existing shape.

Washed down with thinners and scotchbrite

Further wash down with celulose thinners

Danish oil applied. The bar top was the 13" square pitch pine beams that held the upper stalls in the church cut into slabs 3/4" thick

Further coats of danish oil
