actually I clean every thing with bleach but it need to be rinse immediatly after used.
thursday I'm going to a brewery and I'll ask how they do it .
iodophor is to sterilise but don't use it on copper or aluminium :(

I think a good on could be the sodium percabonate ( sold as Chemipro oxy) it clean and sterilise and don't need to be rinse .

I've heard of that no-rinse stereliser, but I haven't found anywhere to buy it yet.

Yes,

Thanks for contact Andy. Looks like everyone will be kegging soon! :beer

I got the same story aswell about the disconnects. The guy seems genuine enough, he appears to sell a lot of beer/pub/dispensing equipment, so I guess he's a good contact.

The black 'tops' appear to be missing from the kegs, not that it effects them - do some of them come like that (all the one i've seen have black 'tops') or is it likely that they have been broken/damaged - hence the price.

James - I've seen cornies both with and without the top bit for sale in homebrew shops.

It would be nice to have the additional protection at the top to shield the connectors from knocks etc..

But at the price I'm not complaining :D

I've bought two reconditioned cornies from Richard at http://www.cheerswinemakingandbrewing.co.uk/ in Cheam for around the aforementioned £35. Richard puts new gaskets and o-rings in as part of the reconditioning process; I suppose he has a supply of these.

Bummer, DaaB. You could always do the http://www.kegwatch.co.uk/ thing...

Or just contact them and see if they want it back. They'll probably just tell you to keep it. If they put that in writing, you'd probably be clear.

I've yet to enter the world of Corny kegs - one question, what are the advantages of using corny kegs over plastic kegs?
