Now that looks like a mighty fine keg there, I haven't got any of those and now I'm thinking - Mmmmm they look good! I'm tipping one to you right now Jim. Sub

I'm tempted to buy a stainless pin, but Thanksgiving is the only time it would get used and I can't justify it for once a year. I can't drink that much on my own :D
Sommeliers recommend that you swirl a glass of wine and inhale its bouquet before throwing it in the face of your enemy.

Just watch for the shive popping out as it conditions. I have a Hereford pin and never had a problem until I borrowed a plastic pin off a mate. Left it to condition out in garage and spread its contents all over the garage floor!

Thanks for the tip; that's a worrying thought you've just put in my head!

As long as it's just the shive, the beer will stay in the cask, as I've got it shive up. If the keystone were to go instead though.... :?

i have two of these casks and when i do a brew i'll fill a couple of king kegs and then fill a cask. This gets left waiting for a party! A mate is having his 50th next week and hey presto one cask ready and waiting! I use a cask widge to dispense with my beer engine. Really easy to use !

I turned the temperature down to 14C yesterday to condition prior to tapping (maybe a week or so before Xmas).

My stillage won't win any prizes, but with a coat of pva it should do the job. :=P
