QUOTE the p&p via air parcel has been estimated at $18

I was looking at ordering some spares from Brewers Discount. Air Parcel is not one of the shipping options available though. Did you get a quote for this via email?

Cheers

QUOTE (Daft as a Brush @ Apr 27 2006, 04:19 PM)I'm not sure whether i'd use them again, they seem totaly disorganised, often dont reply to e-mails and left me with a feeling that it was pure luck that I received my parcel at all.
That hits the nail on the nose...couldn’t put it better myself.

Iv'e spent a lot of money with morebeer.com, their prices are perhaps 10% or so more than BD, but it really is not an issue; their customer service is spot on, really how an internet retailer should be.

Well, on sanitising one of my kegs tonight ready to receive my Abbot clone which I've finally got round to kegging, the plastic lid wouldn't hold pressure. Gas is leaking from the relief valve, darn! Just used another lid from an empty cornie so not an issue on the day but I now need a new lid so I can use all three cornies simultaneously.

morebeer.com have new lids for $30 whereas brewersdiscount ( ) have used lids for $17 (lid and valve).

Hmmmmm, daddy or chips, daddy or chips.....

:wall :D

This is the reason I enquired about BD. One of the Norm kegs had a pinhole in it so he shipped a replacement (without a lid) and let me keep the dud. I have been investigating ways of plugging the hole, but its kind of pointless unless I can get my hands on a third lid. Still undecided whether to order one from BD.

I am getting ready to order ingredients from H&G. Seeing as they sell reconditioned cornies, I may enquire if they can obtain spare lids.

Edit: H&G's website is still down :(

The homepage is down but they have not taken down the whole site. If you click on this http://www.hopandgrape.co.uk/admin/cata ... e=0&page=1 it should take you to a working page and you can navigate from there.

Incidentally, I spoke to John at H&G the other day and apparently they are moving to a new server hence the problems.

Had a reply from H&G. They can supply replacement corny lids for £14. I think I'll add one to my order. I'm reluctant to approach Norm for a spare lid, but it may well be worth it in your case, Andy.
