Sounds like you should just get a better mill.
Sommeliers recommend that you swirl a glass of wine and inhale its bouquet before throwing it in the face of your enemy.

You'll probably have a seals & bearings shop somewhere vaguely near you, they should carry the O-rings suggested. More likely to be on industrial estates serving machinists, etc.

Maybe a bit of google-fu will find you an online retailer or eBay listing but I'd say you're better off finding a shop.

This is one vaguely local to me, no idea where you are so don't know if this helps...

That’s where my thinking is, but if I can “fix” it with a few £/$/€ on O rings then I’m tight enough to want to do that 🤣
Fermenting: Cherry lambic
Conditioning: English IPA/Bretted English IPA, Munich Helles, straight lambic
Drinking: Munich Dunkel, Helles Bock, Orval clone, Impy stout, Porter 2, Hazelweiss 2024, historic London Porter
Planning: Kozel dark (ish),and more!

Update in this thread.

I cleaned the mill following the issue I’d had before and for several months it has performed without major issue, but the last couple of brews have seen the milling of 5Kg or so of grain taking 10s of minutes rather than minutes.

I’m sufficiently pissed off that I think I might replace the recalcitrant beast!

Unless I can find a decent engineering solution to the problem short of having to plan a maintenance clean every 6 months or so.

Where might I find the O rings IPA mentioned above?
Depending on the diametre of the roller something like this will suit. My rollers are 40mm diametre.

Fit one at each end of the passive roller. They need to be a tight fit on the roller.
