I'd be very tempted but as you only have one on your post count I'd be a bit wary of sending you any money. Can you offer
any reassurance?

id be happy to put them on ebay as a buy it now but then charges would be involved. If paying by paypal you'd be protected anyway, but I am nice and honest

guys, not sure why my messages are not sending. They are being held in my outbox.....
To answer some questions, I'm based Leeds/Bradford. Looking for £70 delivered per keg. I just don't have the time these days for brewing. Fish tank is next on my hit list as that's been neglected recently

Messages sit in your outbox until the recipient reads it.

Thanks for getting back to me. I was hoping to pay a bit less than that but appreciate they are new.
Cheers

Not only are they brand spanking new they have the hassle free spear

£70 delivered is a great price, and by the time I've paid the courier I am losing a big chunk on what I paid for them.

I'm looking into buying 3-4 of the slim 20L kegs in 2-3 months time. My main question is around the 3 different couplings available. Are there any advantages or disadvantages between them? It seems to me that the S type coupler is the most understood and I should lean towards them.
As for buying the couplers, the US seem to have a good lead on us. It's the old case of swapping the $ for the £ sign, so they're 30-40% cheaper. Also in the US it's easy to get 'Euro' S couplers with the pull release for degassing. I'll be badgering my colleagues in the Miami office or my UK friends who work in California to bring some back to me next time they fly over the pond.
Some examples. If I want'ed to go for D couplings I can get them delivered to a friend for under $30, slightly more for a euro S coupling.

The main reason to go for the s type is the ease of removal of the spear for a home user.
I have taken the s type spear to pieces and it is very easy to do.
I would also imagine that if you were to sell the kegs on an s type keg would attract more buyers.
The D type couplers have a shorter stem so cannot be used to dispense an s type keg.

I doubt I'd sell the parts separately, if I was to sell on it would be a job lot of everything. The low profile jobs seem to only be available for D types but they are $50+. Looks like S is the best bet.

I haven't had a beer shower (yet) Fil

Well, only a small one when the keg runs out mid pour!
DeadFall, if you're handy like quite a few of us on the forum you'll find it easy to make the tools yourself for spear removal (or find something you can adapt).

Apparently the S and D spears are very similar, you can use a D type on an S spear if you add a spacer (or is it the other way round). They're very popular with US homebrewers so I can't see them being much more difficult to remove. I'll do some more research closer to the time.

Yes, I'm assuming on that thread when you say don't get D couplers it's because the polykegs are S couplers.
From my perspective there appears to be very little in it. The D couplers are very popular with US homebrewers and there is a lot of information out there. Really it's going to come down to whether I'll need the low profile couplers which only seem to come in D flavour or not. If not, then it's down to price and how long I'd have to wait. How much extra height does the average S coupler add to the total height of a slim line 20L crusader? I have a height limit of around 70cm.
