Gary that looks like a nice piece of work there. You must be pleased. That wort looks crystal clear. I wish mine was as good  Where did your stainless filter plate come from?
Cheers

So its something to do with recirculating the mash liquor and setting temperature...
Whats the advantages of this system?

Advantages are being able to do a multistep mash,
Increased temperature accuracy and to repeat that recipe when you find beer heaven.
Building the system.
I am also sure a better efficiency and I think a reduced brew day times could be achieved as the recirculation of the wort helps an even conversion.

Now this evening I was in super test mode and I started at 17:30 and finished and cleaned up by 22:30.
I don’t think that is bad and I feel quite relaxed about the brew and it was the 1st one the system had produced.
Normaly I'm hurry hurry rush rush.

I’m not doing it tomorrow but will as soon as I need to get some more Irish moss, that said the Wort to the boil and after was soo nice and clear.

I think I need to look at my boil times as boil was rather aggressive, I normaly use GAS.

Had to add some cold water to bring it up to 20ltrs as the total 36 went down to 15.
And the OG was 1054 @ 20ltrs

Now not sure what my efficiency is?

Hope its over 75%. :o

Oh oh the hops

I used Brewers Gold @ 6.5% AA for 60 and Bramlin Xross @ 5.5%AA for 15 and a S04 yeast.

Just had a sneek and its foaming up man, or as that polar bear said " it's froffy man"

Right, I have bought a couple of the Ikea SSteel screen from IKEA ready for my boiler, but I will need something more substantial than mesh for my mash tun won't I?
