Bigger Boiler

Edit:
An additional thought on those elements.
Be aware there will be no protective shroud around the pins to support/protect the cable socket. Also it would be very susceptible to water ingress. Very advisable to ensure the electrical supply is via an RCD (ELCB for us oldies).

It takes 42 minutes to bring 25L of liquor from 8º C to a rolling boil with this element combination

I've used a printer lead with a 13a fuse with my 2.4 kw element without any problems.
and as I'm not expecting a visit from the H&S people I'll continue with mine

I've also just bought a cheapo kettle to add a second element to my boiler and have another one of my stupid questions.
How do you defeat the on/off switch which sticks up onan extended bit of the moulding round the element and where do I find the overheat bi-metallic bit. Is that the bit in the white grease?
