You don't need a special connector. You open up your tank connector all the way through with a 15mm drill and push a piece of 15mm copper pipe all the way through. Chris-x1 has posted his diagram of how to do this numerous times recently so I suggest you trawl through the last month or two's building plastic boiler threads until you find it. I followed his method and it works a treat.

RIM out the center with a file or 15mm drill, file method is easy so watch and test often as brass gets remove quite quick.

OK, thanks, chaps. Done. I used a lathe as I had three tank connectors to do (thought about making a false bottom but at first I'll give it a miss).
