Cheers for the images tip DaaB!

I've removed the washers - the rusty looking bit plus one other inside but this 'bit' in the middle seems to be part of the bottle - it's an old Bass bottle which I just noticed says 'Retest 2000'...

I decided to look around again to see if I could get another one. AirProducts have said they'll give me a bottle but it's an "Argon/C02 mix" which I have no knowledge of - doesn't sound like pub gas to me though. BOC didn't want to know as soon as I said 'pub gas' as they only deal with the pubs themselves (!)

I doubt Argon would be a good idea - even though it is inert... :o

Matt
Hey Frothy, are you from Rushden? I spent most of my childhood in Wellingborough, down the road from Rushden.
I was born in Wellingborough and lived in Rushden until I went to Uni.

Small world innit.
One of my most treasured memories is when we first moved to Wellingborough, and my Dad took me and my sister to see Star Wars at the local cinema. I was utterly gobsmacked by the film, but my sister (who was three) cried as soon as Darth Vader appeared. My Dad left me on my own in the cinema, jaw gaping, to take her home (asking the bloke with his son sitting next to us to keep an eye on me). When he returned, I was still sat there, jaw gaping! You couldn't do that nowadays!

Apologies all, threadjack over. :(
