but pub casks draw from the bottom as well.. :-k

i vent my kegs as casks before hooking up to the beer engine, and if i then take a pint or two they're lively and perhaps a little sharp with volatiles, after a day or two they have lost the volatiles and perhaps get slightly oxidised and it smooths them off beautiful for drinking, same as pub style. drawing from the bottom.

canẗ argue that the first pint is always clear though :wink:

I was intrigued by this post so bought one of these to try out. This is an APA which has been in the keg 5 days. I fined with Gelatin.

Impressed with the results as it was like this on the first pint (pic is 2nd). Going to dry hop in keg next time and see how I get on. May buy a couple more of these.
