What psi can the king kegs deal with and is it much more than the basic ones?

Is that enough to get a good fiz, or would bottleing be better for the ideal fiz?

If you want "fizzy" you'd be better off bottling or using corny kegs which are good for, I think, 130psi.

How to the co2 things work on the king kegs? from the pics i have seen of the caps it looks like the co2 cylinders just screw into the lids and there isnt a 'push to inject' button. Can someone sent me a closeup picture of theirs as it may be simpler than explaining it to me! Cheers.

Totem - your description is spot on, you just screw the cylinder onto the valve until gas is released - give it a squirt and undo again.

If it's anything like the HB kegs I used to use then, as Andy says, its a case of screw in to squirt. A little hit and miss but perfect for ales where you only want enough CO2 to dispense rather than with my hefe, for instnace, where you want it to be fizzy.

I used a system with a hand held CO2 gun made for bicycle tyres. A stainless steel tyre valve was screwed into the cap of the barrel.

I got my king keg today, regarding the co2; if i get an adapter for the co2 bulbs and use that would i have to use a whole bulb at a time?

Better of getting the S30 canister, after initial outlay for the canister of £16 the refills only cost £4.50.They contain about 240grams of co2,but a pack of 10 co2 bulbs which are 8grams each (i think) cost £4 and you have to inject a whole bulb at a time.

... or the £8 my nearest homebrew shop told me she would do a refill for (making out she was doing me a favour by doing a refill at all)

That's what she thinks! I go the next nearest homebrew shop for pretty much everything I don't order on line - and I'll get my refill from them for £4.50. I'm all in favour of using my local HBS, and I don't mind paying a bit more for that, but she grossly over charges and is generally uninterested and unhelpful

So with the s30 gas i screw it in, then unscrew after some gas is released? On my older barrel there is a holder for the 8gram bulb with a propper injector button that screws into the cap. Ive managed to connect that to my kingkeg cap and think it might work if i have got it air tight, but you dont think it would last long at all?

Not sure how long the bulbs last Totem as i have never used them...all i can say is S30 canisters last me 6 kegs easy and that is without using priming sugar(unless the canister sticks open then it lasts about a minute  )
