Electric Mash-tun/boiler 29 Litre on sale for £130 plus well forget that price if you got to WWW.tchibo.co.uk you can get in their last chance section a boiler of the same spec for £49.50!!!!!! code nos 269591.

Crikey, that looks like a good deal. If I needed a new boiler that would definitely be the one I'd go for. :)

woah, it's just the Brupaks enamel boiler without the Brupaks sticker on the thermostat...amazingly cheap, well spotted, I'm sure someone on the forum will be snapping one of them up at that price.

mr c, I use that method, a smaller single element boiler soley as an HLT for filling the tun and sparging with, it does make life a lot easier and at that price..... (if there's any left now)

I use a Brupaks boiler successfully. It does take a whole to get to the boil but if you turn the element on at the same time as you start sparging then by the time the sparge is complete, it's almost to the boil...

Just ordered one of these - it's got a tad more volume than my Bronco boiler and as EB mentioned if I fire it up when the first sparge output is collected then the boil should be underway when the boiler is full. I guess I could lag it also to retain some heat and help things along.

I've got a Tchibo voucher code giving free P&P if anyone else is interested.
