s30 valves

i have just replaced the top on one of my budget barrels because the inlet valve was knackered, the pin in the valve had gone completely. now ive found another one has had the same thing happen! what am i doing wrong? at £6 a throw its getting expensive. i use a standard 8gm bulb holder which screws down on to the valve to release the gas.

cheers , this links with my other post on corny kegs. i will take your advice and have a word with hop and grape , they seem like very nice people
