Hop back
Thats right Bod. Pic of the original one in action with hops in nylon bag are posted in Grain beer/Badger best. I.m going to use the 500ml jar in place of the 1l next brewvery nice! i take it the wort enters the chamber through the left pipe, filters through the hops and out through right hand pipe?
First one was absolute precision, went to pot after thatdrilling the holes must have been fun!

very tidy Scooby, nice bit of work there, the container looks similar to the sealed type of which you can larger square ones. I use them to store all my different grain apart from pale,
do you think it puts a lot of the hop aroma back then?
have you done some brews with and without using the hopback?

That's it Frothy hot wort from boiler into hop back then through CFC.
I've done two brews with the hop back Garth and the results are 100% positive
not only more aroma which was the reason for trying it but surprisingly more hop flavour.
The container is the same as Vossy used for his plate chiller filter, thanks Vossy

Just to prove I'm also an idiot I will try to answer your question Mysteriomysterio wrote:Looks good Scooby... any chance of a how-to guide for idiots?? Where to get all the bits etc.

The container is Lock & lock

I got mine from a local department store in the sale for £1.40
A 15mm Speedfit (JG) connector from B&Q. The other bits I had in a box of plumbing odds and sods I have collected over the years, some one will come back with the correct terms for them but I guess they are 3/4 flange thingamejigs that take 15mm tube

Someone help me

Frothy, there are a chain of cheapo shops round our way called Home Bargains, you can probably get them there. I buy the square sort from there to store my smaller amounts of grain and the seal and locking clips look the same. This big one here will easily hold 1kg of grain and was only £1.99
