I was wondering if a Keg would be good for me to use, as I am often away from home for a few months and then at home for a handful of days?
My preference is beer from a keg yet I worry that it wont keep, unless there is a 5 or 10 litre keg?

Using kegs?
Nice to have a Spanish member on the board!
Beer keeps fine for months in kegs, generally. In fact, it will improve with age. The air is displaced by CO2 which can be created naturally by the yeast, or injected somehow. Cornelius kegs and plastic pressure barrels are the two most popular around here, i'm sure someone will explain in a bit more detail.
