RS Totton Pump 266-979

Post by RabMaxwell » Wed Feb 07, 2007 1:19 pm

Hello all been looking for fitting's for my totton pumps. I normally use tubing & jubilee clips but get occasional unplanned disconnects. From what i can gather looking at the RS site the ports on my pumps are 13 mil. Doe's anyone know if i can buy 13 mil to 15 mil Push Fitting's. Cheers

If it's the same as my little 12.5L/min totton pump I bought some 1/2" JG fittings expecting them to fit and they are actually too small.

Hello Daab RS do fitting's for them but i heard they were shit and expensive. Typical design a pump that no fitting's fit properly then sell shitty ones that fit and rip you off for them

Cheers Daab but it's knowing what fittings if any that would fit with it being 13 mil. On another note i remember you posted about your Flojet pump. I have been thinking about buying one to transfer beer from my primary to secondary. Was thinking it would be easy to sterilise how long would it take to transfer 110 Litres. What's concerning me is those car pumps heat up & are not designed for long use. Also what psi do you need for the flojet to work. Cheers

In the pubs I've worked in they use air compressors similar to these

they can run loads of pumps. Important thing really is just to have a gas reservoir and both a primary and secondary gas reg' (which this compressor has.) If it's a G56 Flojet pump the max pressure is 45-50psi. 90psi is the max combined pressure between the liquid your moving & the gas your pumping in.
