Stupid question...
I've found some Corny kegs on ebay, but they all say they only hold 4gallons. What use are they? Every kit I know of makes 5gallons!

The benefits of corny use much outway the loss in volumeStu-pid wrote:I've found some Corny kegs on ebay, but they all say they only hold 4gallons. What use are they? Every kit I know of makes 5gallons!

Are they really worth the out lay of near £150 for 2 kegs, gas cylinder and regulators?
How many cornies have you guys got?
I mentioned them to SWMBO and she didn't say a thing, either she wasn't paying attention, as usual, or she went shopping today> I took that to mean as long as it does not get in her way, she never goes in the garden let alone the garage

I have 6x19L cornies, 1x10L corny and now 4x30L BevKegs.
As for the cost well some of mine were found not being used (one for example came from a pub fitters warehouse I used to get parts from - it was just sitting there looking lonely and I asked and they said take it) and a couple came from homebrew shops. I've had them for quite a while.
The regs and parts etc can be got fairly cheaply from ebay. The hardest thing to source is a gas cylinder - if you pay rental or much more than £15 a refill you're being ripped off.
