Heh! Yeah, I got instructions from the guy in the shop when I told him I was cutting SS. Apparently the trick is slow speed and lots of pressure, plus spray oil (WD40 does the job)on while cutting.
Edit: I must be tired - missed the pun.

If you can get access to a bench press drill it will make the hole(PUN) experience more tolerable.

Slow and steady when cutting Stainless Steel.Are you cutting holes to fix in boiler elements and a tap Jim?If you are could you let me know how it went as i have a 70litre stock pot sat in my garage doing nothing!

Those John Guest fittings are quite clever - never used them before.
And I've discovered the chopstick method of hands-free operation!

it probably says that on the box!! but really they taste a lot better, I did the 'Pepsi' challenge with a cups of tea when we had friends round and they all preferred the one made with filtered water.
