Man, that looks awesome.

And yeah, it would look awesome with an all stainless rig.

If only conicals weren't so expensive...

There's a guy on the UK homebrew board that's converted one of those with a drain tap and built in heating and cooling. I think he's using it as a fermenter.

Mentalist. That must have cost a fortune, surely?
The thing is nearly 80 quid by itself.

It's a lot cheaper than a conical, and he can control the fermentation temperature accurately without shoving the whole thing in a fridge.

Fair enough, i suppose. I'd really love a conical, but i don't do AG yet so i suppose it's hardly worth the effort.

You could use Peltier elements, if you had proper heatsinks on the other side.

Reality is that once you get mashing bigger quantities you don't need much insulation anyway.... the grain is a good insulator.

It's a cylindrical fermentation vessel with a conical bottom fitted with a tap so that the unwanted trub dead yeast etc can be drawn off the bottom during fermentation. Also the final yeast can be drawn off after fermentation is over.
See them here http://www.brupaks.com/vessels%20stainless.htm
So shiny :D
