How to get from boiler tap to CFC

Post by Jim » Thu Feb 22, 2007 7:34 pm

I'm hoping someone has already solved this one and can save me from having to reinvent the wheel. :?

I want an easily connectable and detachable fitting to get from boiler tap to CFC. I'm sure I can do this with standard plumbing fittings, but what's the best way??

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps a combination of this 90 degree bend;

and this speedfit 15mm straight coupler;

or the other way round a 90 degree speedfit and a straight 15mm pipe in the valve :wink:

Cheers, Scoob - that speedfit connector looks just the job. 8)

Thanks Daab, but I'm not sure how the right angle bit would fix to the CFC without modification. :?

Edit - just in case it's not clear, the 15mm pipe going into the reducer above is how the CFC is now - but there's a bit of plastic tubing fixed to it with a jubilee clip for fixing to the old boiler tap.

OK, I've gone the single JG coupler route as I had everything else I needed in stock and it involved the least changes to my CFC inlet:

I'm just doing a back to basics standard bitter - I don't want to complicate things when I'll be brewing with a new set up. :shock:

The only thing stopping me is the post office, who haven't brought my order from Leyland HB yet. :?
