Help with CO2 injector?

First of all I'd like to to say hello to everyone as this is my first post. I've lurked here for months and I must say that this forum is one of the best!

Anyway, I've just aquired another keg and it came with the injector shown in the pic below:

I know the part on the left is for the small CO2 sparklets but what is the right hand side for? Apologies for the poor picture!

Never seen a lid like it! is it a pressure release of some kind?

I have a couple of injectors like that - bought from Morrisons for a quid a piece 5 years ago, so I'd guess they've been discontinued.

As suspected, the bit on the right is the pressure relief valve. It takes 8g CO2 sparklets. So long as the washer (where the injector screws into the barrell lid) is OK, it should serve you OK.

I should stress that I'm not THAT old by the way.
