I own a Valley Mill and it's a very good product but they have recently ceased production. I don't know what is for sale in the UK but all of the homebrew roller mills available in North America have satisfied customers. Crankandstein, JSP and Barley Crusher all get good reports.

Don't know a lot about those mills but my sense is that they are a level below the other mills listed. That doesn't mean they won't get the job done and it the price is right they could be a good value. What mills are available in the UK? Are the US models inported or are there native mills produced?

Norman, how about this:

It sounds so good I might even buy one myself. I have always bought pre-crushed grain but would like to crush my own.

Most europeans seem to use the hand mills

Can't believe how expensive they all are. We have an antique hand mill but I've yet to find out if its any good for malt.
