BlackLabAle Rebuild Probs...

Post by Talisman » Thu Feb 17, 2011 7:06 pm

Ok been carfully designing my re build today and have roughed it all out.

At the mo i have two problems.

1. Im trying to be able to gravity feed all my waste runs. And i can make it work and go where i want.

My prob is.... Im running from 15mm plastic pipe under the sink how do i get that into a 40mm waste pipe?

Is there a special fitting? and i dont mean like the washing machine hose into the sink trap connector. I mean specifically 15mm to 40mm waste?

2. Im going to need to filter my boiler wort better. Ive seen people make the mesh filters (as per Garths topic) and that looks fab except my keg drains from the bottom center. So any ideas on that one peeps?

I have had a look through the Screwfix catalogue and cant see a 15mm to 40mm connection as such, however....

That may connect with a bit of hose pipe,or....

add this....

to this............

I am not a plumber and i have had a few pints and i cannot be held responsible for the above if it goes wrong :)

hope that helps a bit

Thanks fella. I've seen a twin fitting like the first link u sent.

Need to tip my waste pipe out n have a think. It's ground clearance I'm struggling with into waste from the boiler. All others I'm ok with.

Thanks

Btw had a cunning plan for my filter too. Ordered a sheet last night. Will see how my mushroom plan works out ;)
