Does anyone know if an s30 valve can be fitted as a direct replacement for the sparklet type valve on budget barrel cap or is it a case of buying a new cap with s30 valve already fitted :?

If you use a S30 canister you will need a pressure relief valve fitted as well.
May be best to buy a new cap complete with S30 valve and PRV.

My barrel (a king keg) was designed to take the sparklet bulb things when I got it. It was just the same as an s30 valve but had a metal pin inside to pierce the bulb. All i did was pull the pin out with a pair of pincers and it then worked fine with an s30 canister.

Thanks for the Info Daab looks like i might as well buy the cap complete as my cap is slightly domed and i can forsee problems getting the valve to seal.
