Good thermometer

I've gone through a couple of cheap digital thermometers - one fell in the mash tun and wouldn't work after drying out another was just plain inaccurate (98deg for boiling point) etc. Time to up my game

I'd like one that was digital and battery powered - but with a lead / probe so that I can leave it in the HLT occasionally to track rising temperatures. Took a look at the Thermometer Superstore but couldn't see quite what I was after

Good temperature control is important - so it'd be great if someone could recommend such a digital thermometer / probe that they are using with success please

This looks pretty good, for use with the k thermocouples which are cheap to replace if you break them.

How good you want it to be depends on how much you want to spend, £200+ for a fluke

But the above is the type of thing you want to go for, multimeter looking thing.

Thanks LT - great idea, should have thought of that. They are out of stock on that model so I'll look around there and on eBay too
