Gas Management Board pressures

Post by GrowlingDogBeer » Thu Oct 27, 2011 8:04 pm

Hi all

I got hold of a second hand gas management board a while back and have set it up and am using it quite happily.

I have a question though, which gas outlet is related to which regulator.

There are 6 outlets, but only 3 dials.

I have drawn on what I guess it would be, but does anyone know if I am right or not.

And does anyone know where I can get a new gas hose to go from Gas bottle to regulator?

Ignoring the high pressure/cylinder dial then If its like mine the main regulator (silver screw far right) sets the first pressure which is visible on the right hand of the three dials and comes out of the right hand outlet below the dial. The top/right red knob then drops this to a second pressure visible in the (middle) dial below it and coming out of the outlet below this. The top/left red nob then drops this pressure for the left hand dial and all four of the remaining outlets.

So rather than three low, two middle and one higher pressure as your green lines suggest, mine is four low, one medium and one higher pressure. I have little words above my outlets with lines linking/grouping them saying (e.g.) syrup

Did I explain that at all well enough - I seem to have made it sound unnecessarily complicated again?

Cheers

Yes, that makes perfect sense. Thanks Kev

4 low, 1 middle, and 1 high.

I have sussed which dial relates to which regulator adjustment knob, it was just how the outlets were connected that confused me.

Just to confirm, the 4 on the left are all the left hand dial, number 5 is the middle dial and the far right is the right hand dial. 6 take off points, 3 pressures available.

Looks like my board purchased from Norm

Cheers, I think this one came from Norm originally as well.
