Cheap taps ... maybe a group buy ?

Post by andyCo » Tue Jan 10, 2012 8:43 pm

With the anticipation of the Corny job coming off I've been looking at getting a few new taps.
Whilst hunting around I came across these http://uk.alibaba.com/product/348159882 ... D-F13.html
If I'm honest I never bought anything from alibaba before and I'm not sure if there suitable ??
They work out about £10 plus shipping

Just a idea

That's an excellent price for shiny flow control taps.

http://www.kromedispense.com/krome_bts.htm

ive been talking to these guys over products i can always ask
but which one is preferred?

just a thought but you have to factor in shipping costs, air freight can be expensive sea freight takes longer 8 to 12 weeks
on top of that you have 20% vat plus import duties stainless is 3% but i have been told to triple it just in case so 10%
then there is customs clearance another £35 or so for paper work

so if they will send a couple as samples probably no duties etc but for main shipment it would incur extra costs

what is normal UK price?

Also factor in that at least a third will be completly useless, that is my experience importing anything from China.

Looks as though this guy is already importing them, and if you can get them from Germany without the Customs hassle... might be cheaper P&P if you order more than one item.

Wow, really fancy some of those 17.99euro taps. Guessing they need a bit of jiggery pokery to get them to fit onto a KK, anyone done that? They say beer taps, any problems with chrome?
