New Brewery pic's

I'm going to use this to track the progress of my new build, going from a 23L blue bucket job to a 40L all shiney job.
The plan is to use the blue buckets for the next couple of brews, getting used to pumping rather than the gravity system I've been used to and iron out any issues before going up to the SS brewery.

Still on the list of things to buy are:
Pots, Plate chiller, 2nd pump and build my hopback/filter

Sorry about the quality. Only had my phone today.

1st task was to build a brewing table.
Made out of bits of wood I had in the garage, really suprised its level :D :D

Thanks guys, Can't waiti to get the pots in. Hopefully going to be in a few weeks.

I picked up the parts here
http://www.bargainfittings.com/index.ph ... path=51_54
They were $10 for a male female pair. But they are in the US and don't deliver to the UK. Was lucky enough to go pick them up.

I've been told that this crowd are the most reasonable in the UK

Looking mighty fine Highlander!

Well done on the level bench too, it's a standing joke with my DIY jobs that I check the level 50 times and it still ends up pi$$ed #-o

Sorry Darkonnis i've just seen this. It was amorvin. It its a PVC hose, it went cloudy though so i'm not to keen on it. I've now started using silicone hose.

Been playing today.
Testing the new hopback to check it can handle boiling water being circulated though it before I build the main filter part in it.
Seems to be fine.

Added hops to check that my filter concept will work.
Added 100g of hops to about 10L of water. Circulated full blast whilst boiling for 30 mins then turned off the boil and continued to circulate for an hour. The flow rate didn't drop so I think it will scale up just fine.

Here a video of the whirlpool. I should be able to get it faster by fitting a smaller nozzle on the proper boiler and the wider diameter pot should work better to.

Shinny coming next week. :D :D

Hopback MKii.

MKi wasn't the best, don;t have any photos, but it doesn't deserve it.
Made with the water filter, stainless steel mesh, 1/2" SS tube running down the middle and silicone tube as a seal between the mesh and the side wall. The mesh joined at the top with a SS hose clip to a piece of 15mm copper pipe(no SS) so that you can screw on the lid without rotating the mesh.

Going to test it with some hops tomorrow and see how it works.

Hello goodlooking :D :D

Heres the first one. Needs a bit of polish though

Saddly a 3 week trip to Baku is going to get in the way of this build.

Got one hole drilled for the element, but have have blunted the hole saw on the 2nd and have made a bit of a mess of it. think i can rescue it with a qmax cutter though.
Does anyone one have a 37.5mm qmax cutter I could rent/borrow/buy?
