This is it, it's a cola bottle (370ml the new size) with a gauge on the lid. Basically when I'm ready to bottle the force carbonated beer from my kegs I pull a sample onto the bottle, exactly up to the marked line, then place the lid back on and shake the hell out of it until i get a steady reading. The resulting pressure on the gauge IS the carbonation level of the beer, if its too low to bottle I just carry on force carbing until I get to the level I want.
The only thing which will alter the reading is temperature, but as I will be bottling at 2-3c this wont be a problem as this will be a constant.
I've already tried it out with 3 beers and there was a clear reading between them all although they were at a different temp so I'll have to calibrate it properly at by bottling temp.

One thing ill change is putting a lower pressure gauge on to make it more accurate.
Cheers
