Beer engine to corny - Propane reg connector

I want to connect a propane regulator in a co2 line for using a c02-fed corny with a beer engine. Can anyone advise what sort of connector would be suitable for this (other than jubliee clipping a pipe on, which would probably work as it will be set to low pressure). The reg connecter appears to be BSP 5/8 POL left handed thread so I guess i need a female part for this, ideally with hose barb of some sort. Failing a sensible adapter, would the following work?

The reg was from the home brew shop, in case there are different types.
